All of our boxes contain the freshest ingredients from our wonderful hinterland suppliers.

The last few years have been extremely tough for many families, whether it be covid, struggling small businesses, interest rates hikes and the general cost of living we have all felt the pinch- poverty does not discriminate and that’s why Donate a Dinner was created. We want to be able to remind our community- you are not alone, there are people rallying for your success and most of all this Christmas- we’ve got you xx

    The Dengate Family — Founders of Donate a Dinner

    Luke and Ange Dengate are the proud founders of the Donate a Dinner project, a heartfelt initiative created to ensure families in need can enjoy a warm, nourishing meal during the holiday season.

    What started as a small, family-led effort quickly grew into something extraordinary. Last year, the Donate a Dinner campaign received overwhelming support from friends, neighbors, and the wider community, allowing the Dengate family to provide an incredible number of dinners to families who needed them most.

    This year, with the support of other charitable groups and an expanded community network, Donate a Dinner aims to reach even more families. The Dengates are passionate about making this initiative accessible to everyone in need, ensuring that no family has to go without a comforting meal during the holidays.

    Luke and Ange firmly believe that the true spirit of the season lies in giving back. They are deeply committed to bringing joy, nourishment, and connection to families, one dinner at a time.

We are a group of local Sunshine Coast Families who run small businesses. We all know what it’s like to struggle at times and wanted to give to families in our community. Our favourite time of the year is Christmas time, it’s a time that our family gets together to reflect on the year and talk about our hopes for the coming year. We have always been fortunate enough to be seated together and enjoying a delicious meal. We wanted to create something that would allow other families to do the same thing so we have created the Donate a Dinner project. By nominating yourself or a family in need you are not only Gifting the meal but the experience for them to all sit together and enjoy Christmas Dinner without the additional stress of how to pay for it. All of our boxes are filled with fresh ingredients and instructions to make the perfect Roast Dinner -with a few surprises too! We have set a goal to deliver 100 Boxes to feed families in need. Each box has been lovingly prepared by ourselves, our family & our dear friends.
